The Adobe Mystique + Upcoming Classes
Below is a shortened version of the film The Adobe Mystique which is currently in post production. The film covers the history and mystique of adobe as a building material in New Mexico and around the world and is based around an interview with NNMC Adobe Department director Quentin Wilson. Included are interviews with other department instructors and past students of the program as well.
Our next live-instruction adobe class is Floor Design and Construction for adobe structures which begins on February 16th and runs for 4 weeks (M,W,F). This class is one of the required courses for the Certificate in Adobe Construction. Two internet classes will also be starting up in mid-March – Adobe Wall Construction and Adobe Design and Construction Worldwide. Both of these classes can also be applied to the certificate. For more details on course registration numbers and exact dates and time of these courses please visit the NNMC online catalog. Our flagship live-instruction class Arches, Domes and Vaults coming up in early May (see details below) is almost full with 10 out of 12 spots already filled. Please register soon to secure your spot on this very special hands-on adobe project.
